Munich, Ruediger Spies focuses as Independent Vice President Software Markets / Analyst on developments and trends in the extended enterprise

Big Data, content management, knowledge worker environments, etc.), related architectures
and delivery models (e.g., SOA, Cloud Computing/SaaS, Mobility), intellectual

Prior to this, he was Vice President Enterprise Applications, global lead SAP analyst, and territory lead analyst for Central and Eastern Europe at META Group Inc.
Spies has gained extensive experience in over 30 years in the management of international enterprises as well as in the field of cutting edge technology and innovations, where he concentrated mainly on the enterprise applications and infrastructure market. That also includes hardware (server and mobile devices) and communication technologies. In addition, Spies has detailed strategic know-how in IT/business alignment, project organization/management, and quality management. He has also worked for EDS/A.T. Kearney, Informix, and IBM in Germany, France, England, and the U.S., as well as GEI, which today is part of T-Systems.
Spies has built a reputation as being one of the most influential IT opinion makers in Germany (elected 2001 and 2011 as one of the 100 most influencial IT people by CIO/CW/IDG --> Click), has published countless professional articles, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions.
